For New Englanders autumn is a busy time of year. Its time to dust off the jackets, split the wood, patch the roof, mow the lawn one last time, and finish off all the other projects that need to be done before the first fall of snow. If were lucky we might just get to sneak a peak or two at that famous foliage our southern neighbors are always raving about. But along with all the worrying and working comes a great gift, the annual fall harvest, a time of plenty and fattening up before the long cold winter. In celebration of this great bounty we are having our third annual Harvest Dinner. And the more the merrier so come along and join us in the warmth of good food and better friends.
Here are the details:
When: Friday October 6th at 6:00pm (doors open at 5:30pm)
Where: Christ Church on State Street in Montpelier
What: The meal will be prepared by the chefs at Hunger Mountain Coop using the seasonal harvest of local farms and the creations of artisan food vendors. Come join us for dinner and some insightful conversation on the current state of local, small scale, and high quality foods.
How: Tickets are available at the customer service desk at the Hunger Mountain Coop. The price of admission is $8 for Coop members and $16 for any of you lovely people who arent members yet. However, tickets sell out quickly, so purchase yours today.
